Describe your favorite Berklee experience so far.

My favorite Berklee experience so far has to be in the fall of my first year, when I went to see the Choreographer’s Showcase, which is a show put on and choreographed by some of the very talented dancers we have in the MT [Musical Theater] program. I have such fond memories of seeing my new friends perform and do what they love for the first time!

When you think about your favorite class so far, what is one example of why you enjoyed it?

My favorite class I have taken so far is first-year Voice and Speech, taught by Paul D’Agostino. I enjoyed it so much because the class became a space to learn how to process emotion through my body in a safe and productive way. It also became a community of supporting my classmates to do the same.

What is your favorite part about studying and living in Boston?

My favorite part about living in Boston is how walkable the city is. Berklee's campus is near so many iconic Boston areas (Newbury Street, Fenway Park, etc.) that it's really easy to always find something to do. I’m never bored here!

What is one piece of advice you would give to someone applying to Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee?

I would tell new applicants that the best thing they can do is focus on being themselves. It sounds cheesy but it’s true. When you bring your true authentic self, with all of your quirks, it allows for a much more fun audition experience.

Where is your favorite place on campus?

The practice rooms in 8 Fenway.

Why did you choose Berklee?

I fell in love with the school during my audition. Everyone was so warm and seemed like they were rooting for me from the second they met me.

What are your plans for after graduation?

Nothing is set in stone, but I am really interested in being involved in casting and being a casting director in the future.

What have you enjoyed most about the live shows you’ve been involved in at Berklee?

I was in a play called Her Naked Skin in February 2020, and I have really fond memories of meeting so many upperclassmen and getting to know them as rehearsals went along.

Where do you hope to perform this coming year?

I hope to perform anywhere I can! After last year, I, like a lot of people, am really excited to take any opportunity I can.
