As a movement teacher for singers, I'm most interested in helping students reach the place where mind, body, movement, and voice are harmoniously intergrated for both performance and everyday life.

Sun Ho Kim joined the conservatory in 2013 and is an instructor of movement for opera singers.

He gained extensive experience as dancer, actor, choreographer, and teacher in his native Korea. As a dancer, Kim worked in Boston with Boston Dance Collective and Prometheus Dance. In New York City, he worked at The Metropolitan Opera Ballet and New York City Opera Dance Company, and performed as a principal dancer in John Adams’s opera Nixon in China (Ballet the Red Detachment of Women) in various cities throughout the U.S.

Kim has been a guest teacher at various dance festivals through out the U.S., as well as Asia and Europe. As a choreographer and artistic director of Sun Ho Kim & Dancers, he has presented his work at the Joyce Soho NYC, Singapore DANZ INC, CASA ASIA Barcelona, Biennale Danza e Italia in Pesaro and Harvard University, for opera companies such as The Boston Lyric Opera, Opera Colorado, Minnesota Opera, and Washington National Opera. His work has been supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council (2000, 2012) and the Dae San Foundation of Harvard University (1999, 2000).
