Berklee Global Summit Welcome Concert
Artists from Boston Conservatory at Berklee and Berklee Global Jazz Institute’s masters program perform a showcase of works at Boston Conservatory Theater. Matthew Marsit, Boston Conservatory chair of instrumental studies, will conduct a chamber group of Boston Conservatory students performing David Biedenbender's Shell and Wing. Patty Thom, Boston Conservatory chair of voice, will present tenor Matthew Grills (B.M. '10, voice) singing “Povero Ernesto” from Don Pasquale by Gaetano Donizetti and “La Donna è Mobile” from Rigoletto by Giuseppe Verdi, accompanied by faculty member Nathan Salazar. Tommy Neblett, Boston Conservatory dean of dance, will present a performance by Boston Conservatory dance students. The showcase will also feature performances by four Berklee Global Jazz master's ensembles, led by managing Director of the Berklee Global Jazz Institute Marco Pignataro.
