This innovative story/song cycle captures the yearnings of a generation longing for escape from home, from lovers, from trouble, and from themselves. In a musical style described as “Jason Robert Brown meets Joni Mitchell,” Fugitive Songs blends folk, pop-rock, and musical theater to offer a new sound for a restless America and examines the renegade spirit in us all. Chris Miller and Nathan Tysen—the award-winning songwriting team behind Tuck Everlasting and Amélie—will work with students in preparation for this Boston premiere production.

This production will be presented virtually. A link to view the production will be available here prior to the performance.
