Music licensing (or sync licensing, as it’s known within the music industry) is a billion-dollar revenue stream for music makers globally. Unfortunately for businesses and music industry–adjacent professionals, it is frequently a confusing, time-consuming, and expensive venture to incorporate music into their projects.

This webinar will shed some light on the world of music licensing and its processes. We will review how music licensing has changed over the years and what it looks like today, as we analyze case studies across various mediums.

You will learn how to

  • recognize the various types of intellectual property within the music industry
  • identify music rights holders and submit the necessary information for a sync license
  • tailor musical needs to a budget
  • spot the differences in the categories of sync licenses, the request process, and its costs

Recommended for

This webinar is recommended for artists, artists’ managers, brands, ad agencies, or any other stakeholder who might be involved in the music licensing process. No prior knowledge of music or intellectual property is necessary.
