Stephen Karam’s 2012 Pulitzer finalist play about a Lebanese-American family living in Nazareth, Pennsylvania is a hilariously dark comedy about pain and loss, and how much the human condition can handle.

Written by Stephen Karam
Directed by Mike Mosallam (M.M. '06, musical theater)

Dramaturgy Notes

This year, Boston Conservatory at Berklee's Theater Division has implemented an initiative to include a dramaturg on the production team of every mainstage show. The assigned dramaturg is a Conservatory faculty member who works with cast members and colleagues to encourage an exchange of dialogue, provide relevant context about the show, and create content with the purpose of enhancing the rehearsal and performance experience. Alyssa Schmidt, associate professor of theater, is the dramaturg for the Conservatory's production of Sons of the Prophet. Read Schmidt's dramaturgy notes.
