Written by theater faculty member Elizabeth Wong, Kimchee and Chitlins is a serious comedy about cultural identity, power, the media, and racial tensions inspired by true events. TV reporter Suzie Seeto resents covering only "minority issues," but agrees to investigate the story of a Haitian woman who claims she was attacked by an immigrant Korean grocer. As conflicting truths emerge, a Rashomon-like mystery of "what really happened" unfolds, and Suzie discovers that nothing is quite what it seems.
