Medical Emergencies

Students seriously injured or very sick and in need of emergency medical care should go to the nearest hospital emergency room immediately.

In the case of life-threatening situations where students are unable to transport themselves to the hospital, call Public Safety at 617-747-8888 (or dial extension 8888 from any campus phone) if on-campus, or dial 911 from any location.

Please note: Hospitals and ambulances are not appropriate for regular medical care. There is usually a long waiting time at hospitals for non-urgent patients, and the expense is usually higher than if the patient is seen in a routine healthcare setting.
