Director's Note
I learned my biggest lessons through candid storytelling from adults in my life, mainly from my mother. The lessons grew in depth and value, and grew to application once I was able to detach her entire identity from the sole title of “mother.” I needed to humanize her. In humanization, there is grace, understanding, and recognition of self; as you should see every moment of human error as an error you could’ve made, and every moment of exercised free will as a choice that could’ve been yours.
