BoCoCelli: Coming Together in a Time of Anxiety and Uncertainty
BoCoCelli, Boston Conservatory’s cello octet, presents a stylistically diverse program including the Boston premieres of “Inside Silence” by Los Angeles collagist/cellist Jennifer Bewerse, “Sight Lines” by Brooklyn composer/cellist Kirin McElwain, and an experimental new work by Michael Begay, an innovative Diné sound composer. The program also will feature a selection from Pauline Oliveros’s Sonic Meditations, described as “ … a timely case for listening as a form of activism” by Kerry O’Brien of the New Yorker. Directed by Rhonda Rider, the cellists of BoCoCelli are highly accomplished and deeply passionate in their performances of timeless music.
