Boston Conservatory Orchestra presents a preview performance before departing for New York, where it will perform at Carnegie Hall for a special concert, Building Our Future Together, celebrating the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
This immersive experience will guide audiences through a contemporary retelling of The Ugly Duckling. Through movement, music, and a twist on a classic tale, audiences will witness and partake in a journey celebrating found family, love, openness, and joy.
Upon invitation from the United Nations General Assembly, in celebration of the 80th Anniversary of the UN Charter, the Boston Conservatory Orchestra joins forces with Maestro Jorge Soto and soloists Byron Zhou, Karen Slack, SarahAnn Duffy, Corey Leak, and Sidney Outlaw, as well as the choruses of Columbia University for an exciting performance.
In the year 2075, three disparate songwriters live out their dream, providing the musical backdrop to Pacific Dynamo, a utopian community fusing sustainable technology with the natural world.
