Note: Individuals who are not fully vaccinated against COVID-19 are required to wear a mask at all times while on campus.

9:00 a.m.–10:30 a.m.

Conservatory Open Classes (Optional)

Dance Open Class Location: 31 Hemenway Street 

Theater Open Class Location: 132 Ipswich Street 

The following open classes are available to incoming dance and theater students. Those interested should check in at the main entrance of their noted building, either 31 Hemenway Street or 132 Ipswich Street, starting at 8:30 a.m. Due to space restrictions, classes are only open to students and not guests. Participation is optional and no pre-registration is required.

Sessions offered at this time are: 

  • Dance Open Class: ballet class with the Commercial Dance Intensive summer program participants

  • Theater Open Class: combined acting warm-up for all incoming theater students, followed by a contemporary theater acting workshop and musical theater singing class

11:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.

Boston Conservatory Campus Tour (Optional)

8 Fenway

Before the welcome event starts, two Conservatory campus tours will depart from outside the front door of 8 Fenway at 11:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. ET. Participation is optional and no pre-registration is required.

At this time, Conservatory students and their guests will depart for Conservatory divisional presentations. Staff will assist escorting students and guests to the location of the division sessions.
