Music has the ability to fire the imagination and transport us to distant places. In this program featuring works by Armando Bayolo, Karalyn Schubring, Robert Russell Bennett, and David Maslanka, the Boston Conservatory Wind Ensemble (under the direction of Matthew Marsit) will take you on a journey through wide-open spaces, high mountain ranges, and rustling forests, via beautiful, powerful, and expansive music. Featured in this performance is Conservatory student CJ Waldrop (M.M. '25, trumpet), winner of the 2023–2024 Wind Ensemble Concerto Competition.
