The 2025 issue of STAGES explores the theme of connection—how faculty mentors, guest artists, and professional partnerships connect students with the industry and leading practitioners, and how creative bonds between classmates continue to flourish into their careers and onto some of the world’s top stages.
Issue highlights:
- The Art of Connection: Alums Melanie Bacaling and Gabriella Reyes share a deep bond that’s carried them to the heights of the opera world.
- Off the Cuff: Helping classical musicians trust their instincts has been the focus of Pierre Hurel’s improvisation workshop—which celebrates its 20th anniversary this academic year.
- Partnerships Create Industry Inroads: Professional partnerships give students game-changing opportunities.
- Ten Things to Know About Krisha Marcano: Get acquainted with Boston Conservatory’s new dean of theater.
- The First Commercial Dance Class Moves On: Celebrating Boston Conservatory’s inaugural class of BFA in commercial dance graduates.
- Scripting Her Path: Writer and alum Alexis Scheer takes on a wide range of subject matter, from the stage to the screen.
