Boston Conservatory alum Jonathon Heyward (B.M. '14, cello) has been named the next music director of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. Heyward will become the first person of color to lead the orchestra in its 106-year history, and the only Black American to lead a major U.S. symphony orchestra.
