Boston Conservatory at Berklee announced today that after 30 years at the helm of the Theater Division, Dean of Theater Neil Donohoe has decided to transition to a faculty role at end of the 2018–2019 academic year.

Donohoe’s vision and dedication, combined with the extraordinary Theater Division faculty he has assembled, have shaped the Conservatory’s musical theater program into one of the top-ranking programs in the country, and established theater as a pillar of excellence within the Conservatory. To aid in the search for the next dean of theater, the Conservatory will engage a search firm with demonstrated success in higher education, and will assemble a search committee with student, faculty, staff, and alumni representation.

To celebrate Donohoe’s legacy, the Conservatory will present dedicated performances and events in his honor. More details about these events will be announced in the coming months.
