Boston Conservatory at Berklee to Present World Premiere, Three Masterwork Reconstructions at Spring Dance Concert: Limitless

Boston Conservatory at Berklee’s spring Center Stage series will conclude with its annual Spring Dance Concert: Limitless from Thursday, April 27 through Sunday, April 30 at Boston Conservatory Theater.

The lineup for this year’s showcase includes three epic masterwork reconstructions: 18+1 by Gustavo Sansano, D-Man in the Waters by Bill T. Jones, and The Constant Shift of Pulse by Doug Varone. Also, globally renowned and in-demand Canadian choreographer Aszure Barton has created a new work specially for Boston Conservatory students—one of the rare times the choreographer has accepted a commission to generate an original piece for a college dance program. Barton is the founder of Aszure Barton & Artists, and has received numerous accolades for her work, including a Bessie Award and Canada’s distinguished Arts and Letters Award. Barton’s piece will premiere at Limitless alongside the masterwork reconstructions. 

“Limitless is an annual celebration of our tremendously talented dance students, and this year’s program is particularly special,” said Tommy Neblett, dean of dance for Boston Conservatory at Berklee. “Aszure Barton has created an exquisite new work that is an extraordinary experience for our students. In addition, the performance of three incredible masterwork reconstructions by Bill T. Jones, Gustavo Sansano, and Doug Varone will make for an evening of contemporary dance not to be missed.”

Limitless will be presented at Boston Conservatory Theater, located at 31 Hemenway Street in Boston, Massachusetts, at 8:00 p.m. from Thursday, April 27 through Saturday, April 29, and at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 29 and Sunday, April 30. Tickets are $25 to $30 for regular seating and $18.75 to $22.50 for senior citizens, WGBH members, and non-Berklee students. Learn more and purchase tickets here.
