Taylor Kaufman

Taylor Kaufman (she/her) is a technical director, production manager, lighting designer, and intimacy consultant, serving as the technical director for Boston Conservatory since 2022. She oversees all aspects of technical installations for Mainstage productions by ensuring the smooth communication between all departments leading up to a performance, focusing on scenic elements. She works to create safe environments that foster collaboration and encourage professional growth. Outside of her role at Boston Conservatory, Kaufman is the production manager for Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater on Cape Cod, and has previously served as the technical director for the Cambridge School of Weston and Sharon Public Schools. She holds a BA with a double major in theater and dance studies (concentration in design and technology) and women and gender studies—a combination that allows her to help create safe and supportive spaces for all.
