Luis Herrera

Luis Herrera Albertazzi (he/him) is a percussionist and an arts administrator currently working at Boston Conservatory at Berklee as assistant director of concert services, where he oversees operations for all events on the Conservatory’s campus, as well as off-campus events. Herrera’s most recent engagement prior to Boston Conservatory was at the New England Conservatory Preparatory School, where he worked as the large ensemble coordinator. A Costa Rica native, he received his undergraduate degree in percussion performance at the National Institute of Music of Costa Rica, as well as a master’s degree and a graduate diploma in percussion performance at New England Conservatory, and a performance diploma at Bard College Conservatory of Music. Herrera is an active freelance musician in Boston, playing regularly with Boston Symphony Orchestra and Boston Pops.
