Maja Tremiszewska joined the Conservatory in 2022 as an assistant professor of voice. She music directs opera scenes, coaches for Opera Workshop, and plays for staging rehearsals. 

Tremiszewska serves as a head coach for the Mass Opera Young Artist program at Longy School of Music at Bard College. She is active in the local opera scene as an opera coach, rehearsal pianist, and orchestral keyboardist, collaborating frequently with local opera companies including Boston Lyric Opera, Odyssey Opera, Mass Opera, and Enigma Chamber Opera. Before joining the Conservatory, she served as a staff pianist for its vocal department. She was also a faculty member and a vocal coach at the Boston University Tanglewood Institute (BUTI). 

In addition to opera, Tremiszewska maintains an active performing career as a soloist and collaborative pianist. She frequently performs in various chamber and symphonic groups, including Boston Landmarks Orchestra, Brookline Symphony Orchestra, Juventas New Music Ensemble, and Refugee Orchestra Project. As a soloist she performed with Boston University Symphony Orchestra and New England Repertory Orchestra. Tremiszewska is also an avid promoter of contemporary music. She created a long-lasting collaboration with Boston composer Larry Thomas Bell, premiering several of his works for piano solo in Boston and New York City and recording them for Albany Records. 

A native of Poland, Tremiszewska holds a doctorate degree in collaborative piano from Boston University, where she studied with Shiela Kibbe. She received her B.A. and M.M in Piano Performance from Gdańsk Academy of Music in Poland and a Graduate Performance Diploma in Piano Performance from Boston Conservatory. She is a scholarship and fellowship recipient of Aspen Music Festival Opera Center, Miami Music Festival, Chicago Summer Opera, Fontainebleau School of the Arts, and Bowdoin Summer Music Festival.
