About Andy Vores
Former Vice President of Academic Affairs and Chief Academic Officer, Boston Conservatory at Berklee
Andy Vores served as vice president of academic affairs and chief academic officer for Boston Conservatory at Berklee until 2022. In this role, Vores led the Conservatory’s Academic Affairs team and worked closely with the Executive Director and division leadership to oversee academic operations, policy, and planning.
He earned his B.A. from Lancaster University (England) and completed studies with composers Edward Cowie and Oliver Knussen. He was also a composition fellow at Tanglewood Music Center.
Vores has completed work in many musical genres, including opera (Freshwater, Boston University Opera Institute), orchestra (Twistification, Scottish National Orchestra), chamber (Quartet No. 3, Borromeo String Quartet; Urban Affair, Boston Trio), chorus (World Wheel, Cantata Singers), and vocal (Return to a Place, Sanford Sylvan; In a Parlor Containing a Table, Dawn Upshaw). His other collaborations have been with filmmakers, choreographers, poets, and, most recently, a number of electronic works with video artist Jessie Shefrin.
