Boston Conservatory at Berklee High School Flute Competition
October 11–13, 2024
Boston Conservatory at Berklee will host a special high school flute competition for prospective undergraduate students, offering a chance to win a full-tuition scholarship to Boston Conservatory for the duration of their undergraduate program. The two-round competition begins with a screening video, followed by a live finals round scheduled to take place during the Boston Flute Festival on Saturday, October 12, 2024.
Interested candidates must be eligible to enroll as an undergraduate student beginning in fall 2025. The registration and pre-screen video deadline has been extended to September 8. Finalist decisions will be announced by September 18, 2024.
First Round Audition Repertoire

Concerto No. 1 in G Major, K. 313 by W. A. Mozart
Allegro maestoso, beginning to bar 90
Adagio ma non troppo, beginning to bar 27

*Please note, pieces must be performed solo—no piano accompaniment.
Final Round Performance Competition Requirements
Six finalists will perform two pieces live at the Boston Flute Festival on Saturday, October 12, 2024:
Candidate’s choice of repertoire for flute and piano (8–12 minutes in length)
Bostonian Scenes by Valerie Coleman Promenade along the Charles River
*Please note, a pianist will be provided for the finalists.
