This concert celebrates Andrew Mark’s short, one-year journey with the five-string piccolo cello. Mark will be performing some of the earliest solo works written for the cello as well as J. S. Bach’s incredible sixth suite. The concert will conclude with John Corigliano’s “Fancy on a Bach Air” and the world premiere of a newly commissioned work by Boston composer Howard Frazin.
