Esteemed faculty and students of Boston Conservatory at Berklee collaborate to perform works by Paul Schoenfield, Ludwig van Beethoven, and John Harbison.
Boston Conservatory at Berklee string faculty members Sharan Leventhal and Katie Lansdale (violins), Paul Laraia (viola), and Andrew Mark (cello) will perform a recital of works by Caroline Shaw, Lei Liang, and Dimitri Shostakovich.
The Del Sol Quartet performs the world premiere of faculty member Michael Gilbertson’s “Prototype” (2023) for string quartet and ondes Martenot, along with works by Chinary Ung, Meilina Tsui, and Theresa Wong.
International Steinway Artist, concert pianist, and composer Dr. Karen Walwyn will lecture on and perform solo piano works by world-renowned composer Florence Price—the first African-American woman to gain national acclaim—alongside a selection of Walwyn’s own original compositions.
Boston Conservatory at Berklee faculty Saul Bitran, Andrew Mark, Charlotte Hu, and Philipp Stäudlin, along with faculty duo Marimolin (Sharan Leventhal, violin, and Nancy Zeltsman, marimba) perform works by Schubert, Chasalow, and others.
Boston Conservatory at Berklee faculty members Sarah Brady, Robert Sheena, Jan Halloran, Margaret Phillips, and Anne Howarth present a Faculty Wind Quintet recital, featuring compositions by Jeff Scott, Paul Hindemith, and Francis Poulenc. They will be joined by Jonathan Bass on piano.
