Katie Piselli joined Boston Conservatory at Berklee in 2017 and is an instructor of dance. She teaches Dances from the Jazz Era, which includes Lindy Hop, Charleston, and jazz roots.

Piselli is a Boston-based social dancer and full-time teacher with a passion for jazz dance traditions and partnered dancing. As a jazz-era performer, she has been a featured dancer and choreographer for the Vaughn Monroe Show tour, Club Drosselmeyer, the Roaring Twenties Lawn Party, and the World Skating Championships Banquet. She also danced as a gig artist for Gatsby Entertainment and Jumpin' Entertainment. Her energetic and musical dancing has won her numerous awards in Lindy Hop, solo jazz, and Charleston including her personal favorite, the Spirit of Lindy Hop social dance award, at Swing Out New Hampshire.

She presently teaches for Boston Lindy Hop and Boston Swing Central, and founded her own performance focused school, the Riff Academy. Piselli also coaches and choreographs for her school's performance team, the Riff. She previously taught Lindy Hop and jazz roots dance for a variety of organizations including Celebrity Series Boston, Interlochen Arts Academy (guest artist residency), Beantown Swing Orchestra, Gabel Music, the A.R.T. Institute at Harvard University, Boston Tea Party, Providence Swings, Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Swing City, New School Swing, and Swing Steps Bucharest (Romania).

Piselli began her training in ballet, jazz, and tap, and evolved into a musical theater artist, earning a B.F.A. in musical theater performance from Emerson College. With a growing love for jazz music she discovered Lindy Hop and never turned back. She travels all over the U.S. and Canada for specialized training in jazz era dances, history, and traditions.
