I want every student of mine to experience the joy of truly connecting to their own unique and authentic artistic gift. Nothing gives me more satisfaction than helping them to sing from the soul and gain confidence living in their own skin.

Laura Marie Duncan joined Boston Conservatory at Berklee in 2017 and is a professor of theater. She teaches senior musical theater courses and also directs the Conservatory's annual Musical Theater Senior Showcase in New York City.

After graduating from Boston Conservatory, Duncan spent three years as a casting director for Manhattan Theatre Club in New York City. Realizing that her true love was performance, she happily returned to the stage for the next 15 years. Duncan was seen on Broadway in The Full Monty, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, South Pacific (Lincoln Center), and Billy Elliot. She also played the role of Christine in the first national tour of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. Regionally, she has performed at Santa Barbara Civic Light Opera, New Repertory Theatre, and North Shore Music Theatre. Television credits include Law and Order, Law and Order SVU, Ed, and Guiding Light. In fall 2018, Duncan performed the role of Helen in SpeakEasy Stage's production of Fun Home.
