Boston Conservatory at Berklee proudly announces Center Stage, a curated performance collection that showcases the Conservatory’s dynamic range in dance, music, and theater, and spotlights the extraordinary talent of the school’s student performers.
Earlier this year, Taylor Rodman (B.F.A. '16, contemporary dance) was one of three recipients of Boston Conservatory at Berklee’s Alumni Entrepreneurial Grant. The award will partially fund the latest work of her company, Bombshell Dance Project, which is dedicated to elevating the female choreographic voice.
Ten minors from Berklee College of Music will be available to Boston Conservatory at Berklee students beginning in the fall 2018 semester. New areas of study will include psychology, visual culture and new media studies, American roots music, history, philosophy, acoustics and electronics, instrument repair, and three areas of English: creative writing, literature, and spoken word.
Boston Conservatory at Berklee was strongly represented at the 2018 Elliot Norton Awards, Boston’s largest theater awards ceremony, held on May 21. Several Conservatory alumni, faculty, and students contributed to this year’s award-winning productions, and a number of students and recent graduates performed during the evening.
Boston Conservatory at Berklee Executive Director Cathy Young will present honorary doctorates to opera superstar Victoria Livengood (M.M. '85, voice) and Tony Award–winning performer Billy Porter at the Conservatory’s commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 12 at the Berklee Performance Center. Both artists will deliver commencement remarks for the Boston Conservatory at Berklee class of 2018 at the ceremony.
