Doug Lockwood joined the Conservatory in 2004 and is an associate professor of theater.

Lockwood is a founding member of the Actors' Shakespeare Project, where he has performed roles in Pride and Prejudice, Richard II, Measure for Measure, King Lear (also at La MaMa, New York City), The Winter's Tale, Othello, Henry V, Titus Andronicus, Twelfth Night, Much Ado About Nothing, The Merchant of Venice, Antony and Cleopatra, and Richard III. Also for the company, he has directed King Lear, Hamlet, Middletown, and Cymbeline.

Additional Boston acting credits include Twelfth Night, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, The Waverly Gallery, and Art (New Repertory Theatre); Pericles (ART); The Cherry Orchard (Nora Theatre Company); Pippi Longstocking, Snow White, and Lilly's Purple Plastic Purse (Wheelock Family Theatre); A Midsummer Night's Dream (Commonwealth Shakespeare Company); and Carnival (Gloucester Stage Company). Additional Boston directing credits include Chesapeake (New Repertory Theatre); Auld Lang Syne (Gloucester Stage Company); and for Boston Conservatory at Berklee Landscape of the Body, The Beckett Bash, Bent, Cloud 9, Two Gentlemen of Verona (musical), Machinal, After Hours, Twelfth Night, and Coolsville. New York acting credits include The Fever by Wallace Shawn (directed by Ken Rus Schmoll), A Tale of Two Cities (directed by Will Pomerantz), and The Hussy Chronicles (written and directed by Kenny Finkle).

Lockwood has performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and Edmonton Fringe. Nationally, he has performed at the Colorado Shakespeare Festival and Fairbanks Shakespeare Theatre.

Lockwood is a graduate of the Professional Actor Training Program at the University of Washington, where he studied under the direction of Steve Pearson. He received his B.F.A. in theater from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
