Assistant Professor of Theater

Eric Cornell joined the Conservatory in 2018 and is an assistant professor of theater. Cornell has worked in the entertainment field for more than 15 years on the management teams of various original Broadway, Off-Broadway, national touring, and regional shows including Anastasia, To Kill A Mockingbird, Oklahoma!, What the Constitution Means to Me, Wicked, Sister Act, Rocky, and more. For over six years he worked at 321 Theatrical Management as company manager, and four years at Stage Entertainment USA as the Vice President of Production and Executive Producer. In 2016, Eric Cornell Productions was incorporated to further Cornell's producing interests in theater, television, and digital media.

Cornell has been an associate member of the Broadway League and is a member of the Recording Academy. He has been a guest speaker or panelist for the AmCornellan Theatre Wing, New York University, New York Technical Institute, Fordham College, Michigan State University, University of Connecticut, and Emerson College.

Cornell received his onlineCORE certificate from Harvard Business School and is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Management from Harvard University Extension School. Cornell received a B.A. in theater management from Emerson College.
