I strive to teach the healthiest vocal technique that will serve any genre of music a student wishes to sing. I believe that students learn most effectively when they can work in a supportive, positive environment.

Gina Beck joined the Conservatory as a private voice instructor for musical theater students, and is an assistant professor of voice. Known as a vocal technician, Beck brings a deep understanding of physiology and voice science to her teaching of both classical and contemporary vocal technique. She is also known to inject an infectious dose of humor into her teaching and performances. Her current and former students can be seen on Broadway, various national tours, and professional stages across the United States. Before joining the Conservatory, Beck was a member of Emerson College's voice faculty from 1999 to 2011 and was a senior lecturer of vocal technique at Suffolk University from 2007 to 2015. Currently, she teaches creativity and innovation courses at Suffolk University.

Beck holds an M.M. in opera performance from Boston Conservatory and a B.M.Ed. from the University of Saskatchewan (Canada). Her performances have delighted audiences throughout her native Canada, the United States, and Europe. She has performed with the Spoleto Vocal Arts Symposium (Italy), the Phyllis Curtin Vocal Seminar at the Tanglewood Music Center (Massachusetts), the Aspen Music Festival and School (Colorado), the Santa Fe Desert Chorale (New Mexico), and locally with the Newton Symphony Orchestra, Worcester Chorus, Master Singers of Worcester, Colleges of Worcester Consortium, Melrose Symphony Orchestra, Cambridge Lieder & Opera Society, OperaFest! of New Hampshire, Greater Pittsfield Community Chorus and Orchestra, and Fine Arts Chorale. Beck is a freelance classical soloist in New England and frequently produces and performs in her one-woman cabaret show. She resides in Natick, Massachusetts, and has maintained an active private voice studio in Boston since 2007.
