Her Naked Skin explores what an individual is willing to fight for in the face of oppression. In London in 1913, women’s suffrage is almost in sight. Refusing to let the establishment stand in their way, protesting women from all classes begin a hunger strike and risk prison time to gain the right to vote. Among them is Lady Celia Cain, who feels trapped by both the policies of the day and a loveless marriage. When she meets a young seamstress, Eve Douglas, her life spirals into romantic but dangerous chaos. Produced in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the passing of the Nineteenth Amendment.

Rebecca Lenkiewicz's Her Naked Skin premiered at the National Theatre, London, in July 2008.
