A member of our staff will call you in response to your message, so including the reason for your inquiry will help us direct your message to the appropriate person.

Unless you specifically intend to make an anonymous donation, please give the broker permission to identify you as the donor.
In order to qualify for a tax deduction for any given calendar year, the securities must be transferred from your account to the Conservatory no later than December 31.

Gifts-in-Kind
In addition to cash donations, Boston Conservatory at Berklee and Berklee College of Music gladly accept gifts-in-kind. A gift-in-kind is a nonmonetary contribution of goods or services. Examples of accepted tangible goods include musical instruments, equipment, auction items, and various materials related to performing arts and music education. Examples of services include donated transportation, meeting space, and professional support. Berklee will make a determination regarding acceptance of an intended gift based on the quality of the instrument or equipment, demand, and preservation required.
Berklee is a tax-exempt organization under section 501(c) 3 of the Internal Revenue Code. Therefore, all contributions to Boston Conservatory at Berklee and Berklee College of Music are tax deductible. Berklee is not allowed to make a determination as to the value of gifts-in-kind and must leave this responsibility to the individual donors. Please consult with your tax advisor in order to fill out the IRS 8283 form.

Corporate and Foundation Support
Berklee’s Office of Corporate and Foundation Relations (CFR) cultivates and maintains relationships with grant-making organizations and corporate partners that have interests aligned with the Conservatory’s mission, vision, and goals. Foundations, corporations, and government agencies support a wide range of initiatives and programs, including:
- scholarships for students
- outreach initiatives such as Conservatory Connections, a community program that brings the joy of live performance to audiences who are unable to travel to campus, and Movement Matters, free classes for low-mobility seniors taught by our dance and theater students in public residential facilities
- Boston Conservatory at Berklee academic enhancement programs, including ongoing collaborations with Silkroad Ensemble and Speakeasy Stage Company, which aim to advance, coordinate, and catalyze artistic innovation and affect change across the Conservatory and in the wider community
- public performances by Conservatory students, faculty, and visiting artists at the Boston Conservatory Theater and other performance venues on campus that enrich the cultural life of Boston; and
- capital projects that improve the Conservatory's physical campus.
