Alexander Crosett

Alexander Crosett joined the Conservatory faculty in 2018 and is an assistant professor teaching piano skills.

As a solo and collaborative pianist, Crosett has performed throughout the United States and in Canada, Italy, Spain, Germany, France, and Japan. He won the Silver Medal at the 2018 Osaka International Music Competition. 

Crosett received his MM in Piano Performance from Manhattan School of Music as a student of André-Michel Schub and DMA from the University of Georgia under Evgeny Rivkin. He pursued additional studies with Jacques Rouvier and Eteri Andjaparidze, as well as masterclasses from Aldo Ciccolini, John Perry, Peter Frankl, Ian Hobson, Solomon Mikowsky, Ann Schein, and Olga Kern.

Crosett is a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music in Piano. He has held teaching positions at Manhattan School of Music, Interlochen Center for the Arts, Bloomingdale School of Music, Kennesaw State University, and the University of Georgia Hugh Hodgson School of Music. 

Crosett has been invited to present lectures and workshops at the Music Teachers National Association National Conference; the College Music Society National, Northeastern, and Mid-Atlantic conferences; and the Hawaii International Conference on Arts and Humanities. 

Outside of work at the Conservatory, he maintains a private studio in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
