There is no ‘right way’ in theater, there is only the truth.

De’Lon Grant joined the Conservatory in 2024 as an assistant professor of theater, teaching acting through song technique and audition skills to second- and fourth-year students.

Grant is a multihyphenate creative with a passion for fostering supportive spaces that promote new ideas and diversity in storytelling. He earned a BFA in Acting from the University of Michigan and MM in Musical Theater from The Boston Conservatory.

After graduating from the Conservatory, Grant worked extensively as an actor in the Boston theater community. He toured domestically and internationally for three and a half years as Barry Belson in the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical Jersey Boys. In 2016, he returned to Boston to play Hayward Patterson in Speakeasy Stage Company’s production of The Scottsboro Boys, for which he won the IRNE Award for Best Actor in a Musical. He spent five years on Broadway in the Tony Award-winning hit Come From Away, and stars in the live-capture streaming of the production on Apple TV+. In addition to his work as an actor and educator, De’Lon cohosts the Webby Award-nominated podcast Lemme Fix It. He is a photographer, writer, and a proud member of both Actors Equity Association and the Screen Actors Guild.
