Community Partnerships
Boston Conservatory partners with many Greater Boston organizations to add vibrancy to the school's academic programming. Below are some initiatives that set the Conservatory apart.
Boston Arts Academy
Boston Conservatory vocal pedagogy students teach applied voice to young artists at the Boston Arts Academy (BAA), Boston’s prestigious high school for the performing arts.
Boston Children's Museum
Boston Conservatory Opera Department presents operas for young audiences at the Boston Children’s Museum, allowing performers to engage a younger audience.
Boston City Singers
Boston Conservatory vocal pedagogy students provide lessons in voice, musicianship and rhythm, music theory, and general artistry to children participating in Boston City Singers’ multicultural youth chorus program. Conservatory voice and conducting students also provide private instruction as needed. In addition, members of the Boston City Singers have been featured soloists in Conservatory choral concerts, and their ensembles have performed with the Conservatory in mainstage productions, such as the school’s 2013 production of Leoš Janáček’s The Cunning Little Vixen.
Boston Public Schools
Boston Conservatory music education students conduct prepracticum classroom observations and engage in student teaching practica in a number of public schools in Greater Boston and throughout Massachusetts. Additionally, as part of their course studies, music education students also lead and teach in a three-week summer program for Boston Public School (BPS) students in grades 6–12. The program includes workshops, vocal and instrumental ensemble rehearsals, sectionals, and tutoring. At the end of each program, BPS students present a performance for their parents and teachers.
The Eliot School
Boston Conservatory dance students teach creative movement at the Eliot School under the direction of Eliot School faculty member Sean Murphy (B.F.A. '14, M.F.A. '96, dance), as part of an internship program. To prepare for the internship, Conservatory students receive advanced training in classroom pedagogy.

Boston Conservatory theater students participate annually in the development of new works at Goodspeed Musicals in East Haddam, Connecticut.
The Harvard Club of Boston
Each year, Boston Conservatory's Opera Department presents a special evening of opera at Boston’s esteemed Harvard Club.
Institute of Contemporary Art
The Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA) regularly showcases works by the Conservatory's Dance Division in conjunction with relevant exhibitions.

Museum of Fine Arts—Sound Bites
Boston Conservatory students and faculty perform regularly as part of Museum of Fine Arts Sound Bites: Nancy Lee Clark Concert Series, a program that offers museum patrons a monthly ensemble performance. Recent engagements include the Boston Conservatory Honors Trio and various performances by voice and opera students.
