As an educator, I seek to impart the knowledge I garner via my current real-world experience in the musical theater industry. I strive to be a mentor and resource in helping my students cultivate dynamic, fulfilling careers.

Meagan Lewis-Michelson joined Boston Conservatory at Berklee in 2023 as an assistant professor of theater. She teaches audition technique and contemporary musical theater scene study.

In addition to teaching at the Conservatory, Lewis-Michelson is a full-time musical theater performer, splitting her professional pursuits between Boston and New York City. She has performed on the Broadway national tour of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, as well as off Broadway in The Big Bang Theory. Her favorite regional roles include Patsy Cline in Always … Patsy Cline, Miss Hannigan in Annie, Rosie in Mamma Mia!, and Paulette in Legally Blonde. She has performed her solo show, Mother Mary Says to Me, for sold-out crowds at A.R.T.’s OBERON and Feinstein’s/54 Below.

In 2020, Lewis-Michelson founded a private voice studio, and her private students have gone on to book leading roles and earn national awards. She teaches audition technique workshops at private voice studios throughout New England, and has guest taught on the art of devising autobiographical cabaret at Suffolk University.

Lewis-Michelson earned her B.A. in English from Harvard College and spent a semester in London, during which she studied at Shakespeare’s Globe. She went on to earn her M.F.A. in musical theater from Boston Conservatory in 2014. Her homebase is Boston, where she lives with her wife, Helen, an associate professor of theater at Boston Conservatory.
