How to Enroll
- Submit your registration.* Begin by submitting your registration online. If applicable, you may need to submit additional supporting materials.
- Make your tuition payment.* All programs have limited capacity, so be sure to complete your full tuition payment to reserve your space in the program.
- Request housing. If you will be age 15 or older by the start of your program and require on-campus accommodations, complete the Residence Hall Contract in the Next Steps tab of your registration portal .
*Please note: This program has limited capacity. Submission of registration materials alone does not guarantee participation in the program. You will secure your spot by paying in full. When the program capacity has been reached, registrants who have not paid in full will be placed on a waitlist.
Boston Conservatory at Berklee Commercial Dance Intensive is a cutting-edge, three-week summer program for dancers interested in exploring the world of commercial dance. Focused on dance for video, film, and live music concerts, you will explore various dance forms necessary to succeed in the industry, including jazz-funk, hip-hop, breaking/popping, urban dance styles, and lyrical jazz. You will also develop important portfolio-building skills, such as résumé creation.
Taught by Boston Conservatory’s renowned faculty and acclaimed guest artists who have performed with some of the biggest names in the industry, Commercial Dance Intensive gives you the opportunity to sample trademark elements of the Conservatory’s top-ranking dance B.F.A. program: versatile skill-building and focused studies that pave a path for successful careers.
Each week you will have the opportunity to interact personally with guest artists and receive valuable guidance from these industry leaders on audition techniques, networking, and dos and don'ts.

The Summer Program will conclude at the end of the third week with a performance at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee. The end of program performance will be open to all students, parents, faculty and staff. This performance will be an opportunity to share what you have been working on over the course of your time with us. For friends and family who will not be able to join us in Boston, the concert will also be live-streamed.
This program is designed for beginner to advanced-level dancers between the ages of 15 and 22 who are interested in commercial dance. Participants should have a strong interest in expanding their knowledge of dance in the entertainment industry, enthusiastic to explore hip-hop, urban dance styles, jazzdance, tap, and more.

Dro Tisci
Joshua Lamar’s training ranges from tap, ballet, African, contemporary, and modern. He has worked with world-renowned professional instructors and choreographers including Debbie Allen, Tanisha Scott, Darrell Grand Moultrie, and many others. Credits: Season 2 and 3 of Legendary (HBO Max) Deeply Rooted Dance Theatre, West Side Story (Lyric Opera), American in Paris (Ogunquit Playhouse).
Sekou
At the forefront of a new movement in Latin dance, Sekou's unique style has an Afro-Caribbean essence that is laced with many different dance techniques. Combined with an explosive energy, Sekou's dancing and choreography have garnered him broad recognition worldwide that spans from Broadway to the international underground Latin scene.
Levi Marsman
Levi Marsman has been artist in residence at Boston Conservatory at Berklee and is currently teacher in residency for Urbanity Dance. As a choreographer, he has created works for institutions such as the Walnut Hill School for the Arts, Sharron Miller Academy for the Performing Arts, and more. He was recently selected as one of two guest choreographers to create a new work for Urbanity Dance in Boston in its "Urbanity NeXt" Project.
