Next Steps: On-Campus/Remote Hybrid
We’re thrilled to welcome our fall 2020 entering students to our vibrant community of artists. To join us on campus, you must complete the following tasks before orientation. Please review these steps carefully. If you have any questions, please contact the Admissions Office at admissions@berklee.edu or +1 617-912-9153.
Activate your Berklee Email Account
If you haven’t already, you will receive instructions on how to activate your @berklee.edu email account from Berklee Information Technology Services. This email account also serves as your Berklee OnePass, which gives you one-click access to many resources, including the Conservatory’s internal website. You must use your Berklee email address for all official school communications.
Familiarize Yourself with Our Internal Site
Once you have activated your @berklee.edu account/OnePass, you will be able to access the Boston Conservatory at Berklee internal website on berklee.edu. This site contains helpful links and resources to help orient you in our community. One important resource that you can access here is Self-Service/PowerCampus.
Update Your Information on Self-Service
Self-Service/PowerCampus is a tool for registration and student information. You will receive credentials to access Self-Service from Berklee Information Technology Services. First-time login instructions can be found here. Note that your student ID, also referred to as your PowerCampus ID, can be found on your application portal. You can access Self-Service via the Boston Conservatory internal website, or directly through Self-Service. Once you have logged in to Self-Service/PowerCampus for the first time and successfully validated your account, please make sure to update your personal information, including phone number and address, in the “My Profile” tab. All three address fields must be filled out, even if the information is the same in each field.
If Living On Campus, Complete Your Residence Hall Application
If you wish to live on campus, you must complete a Residence Hall Application. This link can be found in the “Next Steps” tab of the application portal. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Please note that there is currently a waitlist for fall 2020.
Sign the Revised Housing Agreement
All students who have confirmed housing for the fall 2020 semester are required to re-sign the Housing License Agreement by July 15. Due to revised social engagement guidelines and requirements, there are changes to the contract that require your review, including information related to common areas, elevators, restrooms, laundry facilities, and guest policies.
Submit Your Immunization Form
All entering and transfer students must submit a completed Berklee Entering Student Immunization Form. Instructions can be found on the Berklee Immunization Requirement page. For more information on the school-sponsored student health insurance program and waiver process, visit this page.
Review Health Insurance Options
All students, whether on-campus or remote, are auto-enrolled in the Berklee-sponsored Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP). Massachusetts law requires all students enrolled in colleges and universities located within the state to either participate in SHIP or provide proof of comparable coverage through their own or their family's insurance provider. To ensure compliance with the SHIP law, all Berklee College of Music students registered for credits who do not submit an insurance waiver by September 18, 2020, are automatically enrolled in and billed for Berklee's Student Health Insurance Plan (Blue Cross Blue Shield Student Blue PPO Plan).
All students may request to waive SHIP regardless of their mode of study (in-person, entirely remote, or hybrid). Please take note of the following exceptions:
- International students who study in the United States cannot waive with an international student health plan.
- Domestic students who study in Massachusetts cannot waive with an out-of-state Medicaid or out-of-state HMO plan.
- International First Year Abroad students are not auto-enrolled in SHIP and do not need to take any action.
Students who request a waiver and later wish to enroll in SHIP may rescind their waiver request by visiting the Gallagher Student Health portal. Please go to the Berklee Gallagher Student Health website for more information and portal access.
Submit Proof of High School/Secondary School Graduation
Submit either your official high/secondary school diploma or final transcript that includes a graduation date and an official signature and seal. Transfer students should submit their most recent transcript to update their transfer credit records. Learn more about how to submit these materials.
If you attended a post-secondary school (college or university) within the last five years, or are currently attending one, you must submit the Transfer Student Discipline Record Release Form prior to the beginning of orientation for the first semester of enrollment.
Submit Your Photo for Your Conservatory ID
Visit the Student ID Photo Submission web page to submit your photo for your Conservatory ID electronically.
Submit Your I-20 and F-1 Visa (International Students Only)
In order to enter the United States and study at Boston Conservatory, international students must submit an I-20 and an F-1 visa. Follow these three steps.
