Describe your favorite Berklee experience so far.
My favorite experiences so far have been getting to write, record, and release music regardless of whether it was done in person or online. The quality of the musicians here means that they always deliver just what the music needs, no matter the situation.
When you think about your favorite class so far, what is one example of why you enjoyed it?
The biggest thing I look for in a class, as well as a teacher, is how well they are able to relate the course material to the real, current world. If they can help their students understand the material and how it has been applied throughout different genres of music, then those students will have higher likelihood of being able to use those techniques in their own music and art.
What is your favorite part about studying and living in Boston?
It is a very energetic place to live. The streets are alive with people all moving towards the next thing on their list, not to mention all of the people involved in some way with music and art. It is a very good location if you are trying to create something for yourself.
What is one piece of advice you would give to someone applying to Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee?
The more you can get your career started before you get to Berklee, the better you will be able to apply the things you learn, and the faster you will be able to gain meaningful employment once you leave Berklee.
Where is your favorite place on campus?
My favorite place that is at least near the campus is around the Charles River. There is a lot of space, walking paths, and benches to just chill and enjoy some space to yourself.
Why did you choose Berklee?
Berklee is renowned for being able to prepare and place their alumni in their chosen field of study, far more so than any other music college of music program that I looked at.
What are your plans for after graduation?
My plans are to continue to do the things I am currently doing, namely writing, recording, performing, and teaching music.
What have you enjoyed most about the live shows you’ve been involved in at Berklee?
I love the audience interaction. The shows I have gone to have had very enthusiastic, vocal audiences.
Where do you hope to perform this coming year?
I am looking forward to exploring both venues in Boston as well as potentially Long Island, New York.
