Describe your favorite Berklee experience so far.
Being a part of the Musical Theatre Club's Duck Project. We created and set up an original mini-musical show within the course of only three weeks! I had such an amazing time with many talented and creative artists that I wish I could go back in time and do it all over again.
When you think about your favorite class so far, what is one example of why you enjoyed it?
My favorite class so far was in the summer 2021 semester. I took DAW for Songwriters: Pro Tools, and it was my first time ever producing one of my own original songs. It was an amazing learning environment where all of us could help each other out and inspire one another to become the best of the best.
What is your favorite part about studying and living in Boston?
This city belongs to the students that come here. Boston's diverse cultural community, entertainment, vibrant social setting, and its close connections are the reasons why Boston is just the place to be for anyone.
What is one piece of advice you would give to someone applying to Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee?
I would immediately tell them to take the opportunity and run towards it! Berklee is such an amazing institute, with incredible professors and extremely gifted musicians, filled with extraordinary and unlimited opportunities in any field that you choose to study. Every day is a learning experience and every day we grow, not only as great artists but as better individuals hoping to change the world through music.
Where is your favorite place on campus?
After being in person for only three months during the summer 2021 semester, I'd have to say that my favorite place has to be the Berklee Caf dining hall and concert venue.
Why did you choose Berklee?
It's a unique institute filled with amazing and talented musicians from all around the world that come together to learn and grow, not only as musicians but as individuals...[and that] is why my heart got attached to Berklee. Choosing Berklee has been one of the most important decisions of my life. I could not imagine somewhere else...with other artists that are equally committed to music and its importance to the world.
What are your plans for after graduation?
After I graduate in 2024 my goal is to get my master's degree...and make my way into Broadway, among other things. I hope to also meet and work with one of my favorites, Lin-Manuel Miranda!
What have you enjoyed most about the live shows you’ve been involved in at Berklee?
In my second semester here at Berklee, I had the opportunity to perform in two live shows in the musical theater genre. Performing through Zoom was such a new and eye-opening experience that felt like no other. It was nice to have that feeling back of performing and giving all that you love, and sharing that passion with the audience.
Where do you hope to perform this coming year?
I hope to perform in the Red Room, at Berklee Caf shows, and at many other venues in the city of Boston.
