Marianna Bassham joined the Conservatory in 2019 as an assistant professor of theater, and teaches in the musical theater and contemporary theater programs.

Bassham is a Boston-based actor and teacher, and has appeared in dozens of productions at SpeakEasy Stage Company, Huntington Theatre Company, Commonwealth Shakespeare Company, the Nora Theatre Company, Underground Railway Theatre, the Gamm Theater (Rhode Island), Greater Boston Stage Company, and Boston Playwrights’ Theater, among others. She appeared off-Broadway in Playwrights Horizons’ production of I Was Most Alive With You in 2018, and her film and TV credits include Moonrise Kingdom, Castle Rock, Olive Kitteridge, and The Makeover.

Bassham is a graduate of Brandeis University’s Master of Fine Arts in Acting program.

  • Bassham is a resident acting company member of Actors’ Shakespeare Project, and a recipient of several IRNE and Elliot Norton Awards for Outstanding Actor and Best Ensemble.
