About the Artist

Raxel Kempenaar, choreographer, is an agender artist who uses they/he pronouns. They are a senior contemporary dance student at Boston Conservatory at Berklee, minoring in psychology. Kempenaar enjoys the idea of play and their movement. Their choreographic style is heavily influenced by the six senses, especially sight, sound, and touch.

I creEaTE works that may be AMbiGUoUs to the audience but mean eVErYTHinG to the artists involved. I provide stRUCTurE for dancers to bring THeMseLves into; it may be my choreography, but it is theirs to bRiNG to life.
