Music Division Professional Partnerships

Professional readiness is a cornerstone of Boston Conservatory at Berklee’s music curriculum. To that end, Boston Conservatory has forged partnerships with some of the world’s leading music and arts organizations, providing students with career-building experience as well as mentoring relationships with leading artists. Conservatory students graduate with valuable insight from practitioners at the forefront of the field, and professional connections to help launch their careers.

Silkroad

Boston Conservatory’s exclusive partnership with Silkroad offers students the opportunity to study and collaborate with artists from the Grammy Award-winning ensemble, which was founded by Yo-Yo Ma and now helmed by Artistic Director Rhiannon Giddens. Silkroad artists work directly with Conservatory students both in the classroom and on the stage, performing at world-class venues such as Boston’s Symphony Hall.

Boston Lyric Opera

Boston Conservatory partners with Boston Lyric Opera (BLO) to offer ongoing educational and artistic development for voice and opera students. Most notably, the Opera Innovators Series engages leading performers and pedagogues in the field of opera and art song to present master classes, panel discussions, Q&As, and more to Boston Conservatory students, as well as members of the BLO’s Jane and Steven Akin Emerging Artists program. Boston String Academy

In partnership with the Boston String Academy, Boston Conservatory music students can learn what it takes to be an effective music teacher, while helping further the Academy’s missions of making classical music education accessible to underserved communities. Conservatory students who participate in the program help lead classroom discussion and observe teaching practices. They also provide mentorship to younger musicians and perform collaboratively with Academy students and faculty.

Philippos Nakas Conservatory

Graduates of Philippos Nakas Conservatory (Nakas) in Athens, Greece, have the unique opportunity to complete an undergraduate degree at Boston Conservatory at Berklee’s Music Division through a curriculum transfer agreement via the Berklee Global Partners Program. Learn more about the program.
