Violinist Sharan Leventhal and marimbist Nancy Zeltsman formed their duo Marimolin in 1985. This varied program will include some of their favorite older and recent chamber works by composers including Robert Aldridge, Paul Lansky, and Leo Blanco.

About the Artists
Founded in 1985, Marimolin was active until 1996 and has performed occasionally since 2015. The team premiered over 80 works and have performed across the United States, Puerto Rico, England, the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, and Sweden. Marimolin raised over $68,000 to commission new works and sponsored a composition contest for eight years, attracting nearly 200 entries from around the world.
Sharan Leventhal, violin, is a professor of strings and teaches applied violin, chamber music, and contemporary performance practice. Learn more about Leventhal.
Nancy Zeltsman, marimba, is a professor of marimba and chamber music who has also taught at Berklee College of Music since 1993. Learn more about Zeltsman.
Allan Chase, alto saxophone, has been chair of the Ear Training Department at Berklee since 2008, and has appeared as a soloist on over 40 jazz, pop, and classical recordings, in addition to several movie scores. Learn more about Chase.
