Christopher James Webb joined the Conservatory in 2008 and is an associate professor of theater, specializing in such courses as Acting, Viewpoints/Movement for Actors, Playwriting, Ensemble Performance Lab, and Musical Theater Styles and Analysis. 

Webb is a professional director and Elliot Norton Award-winning actor whose work has been seen with Actors' Shakespeare Project, Lyric Stage Company, Stoneham Theatre, New Repertory Theatre, Wheelock Family Theatre, Central Square Theater, Foothills Theatre, Boston Playwrights' Theatre, Off the Grid, Bay Colony Shakespeare, GAN-e-meed Theatre Project, the Boston Theater Marathon, Boston Theatre Works, Guerilla Opera, Persephone Theatre Project, Second Act Productions, Surly Girl Productions, Stoneham Theatre's Young Company, the Peterborough Players, Northern Illinois University, and the Tony Award-winning Denver Center Theatre Company. He appears in the films Shutter Island, The Conservatory, Hands of the Nocturnal Clock, Meat Me in Plainville, and War Dogs. He has taught for Lesley University, Worcester State University, Munroe Center for the Arts, the United South End Settlements, the Illinois Institute of Art, and the Denver Center Theatre Academy. 

Webb earned his B.A. in theater performance from Western Michigan University, continued his training with Marymount University's London Drama Conservatory, and earned his M.F.A. in acting from the National Theatre Conservatory. 

He currently resides in Arlington, Massachusetts, with his wife and fellow Conservatory faculty member Jessica Webb, who is also a professional actor, Alexander Technique teacher, and trauma specialist, as well as their children, Henry and Portia.
