Eric Cornell is a Tony Award-winning producer and assistant professor of theater. He joined the Conservatory in 2018 and teaches business of theater.

Cornell has worked in the entertainment field for more than 15 years on the management teams of various original Broadway, off-Broadway, national touring, and regional shows including Anastasia, To Kill a Mockingbird, Oklahoma! (2019 Tony Award winner), What the Constitution Means to Me (2019 Tony Award nominee), Wicked, Sister Act, Rocky, and more. For more than six years he worked at 321 Theatrical Management as a company manager, and for four years at Stage Entertainment USA as the vice president of production and executive producer. In 2016, Eric Cornell Productions was incorporated to further his interests in theater, television, and digital media. One recent highlight was serving as associate producer of Nickelodeon's televised The Spongebob Musical: Live on Stage! In 2018, he cofounded Cornice Productions to manage theatrical investments and produce new shows.

Cornell is a member of the Broadway League and Television Academy. He has been a keynote speaker, guest artist, or panelist for Melissa Youth OnStage, Craft Productions, the American Theatre Wing, New York University, New York Technical Institute, Fordham College, Michigan State University, University of Connecticut, and Emerson College.

Cornell holds a master's degree in management from the Harvard University Extension School, with certificates in Innovation and Entrepreneurship and Strategic Management. He received a B.A. in theater management from Emerson College. He resides in New York City.
