Artist-in-Residence Frederica von Stade: Mezzo-Soprano Master Class
Frederica von Stade sang mezzo soprano roles ranging from Cherubino in The Marriage of Figaro to Cenerentola and Rosina from the bel canto repertoire to many contemporary American opera roles, including Mrs. DeRocher in Dead Man Walking. In this class she will coach the mezzo-soprano repertoire with our singers.
Von Stade is the Kunkemueller Artist in Residence at Boston Conservatory at Berklee this fall. She will be on campus from October 30–November 1, and will teach master classes, work with the cast of Jake Heggie's Dead Man Walking, and coach American art song in open one-on-one sessions. She will also hold a Q&A with students from Boston Conservatory's composition and voice programs on musical collaboration with living composers.
Von Stade's residency is made possible by the generosity of Pam Kunkemueller and the Kunkemueller Artist-in-Residence program at Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
