Kunkemueller Artist-in-Residence Frederica von Stade will participate in a panel discussion on topics related to performing, commissioning, and creating new music, including premiering new works, working with living composers, the future of American opera and art song, and the close relationship between singers and composers. Von Stade will be joined by Patty Thom (moderator), Jonathan Bailey Holland, Curtis Hughes, Andy Vores, Kathryn Wright, and Johnathon Pape. Students are encouraged to bring their questions.

Von Stade is the Kunkemueller Artist in Residence at Boston Conservatory at Berklee this fall. She will be on campus from October 30–November 1, and will teach master classes, work with the cast of Jake Heggie's Dead Man Walking, and coach American art song in open one-on-one sessions. She will also hold a Q&A with students from Boston Conservatory's composition and voice programs on musical collaboration with living composers.

Von Stade's residency is made possible by the generosity of Pam Kunkemueller and the Kunkemueller Artist-in-Residence program at Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
