Legendary pianist Mikhail Voskresensky is celebrated worldwide as an iconic Russian pianist in the grand Romantic tradition. For many years, he was a distinguished professor and piano chair of the Moscow Conservatory. In 2022, at the age of 87, he left Russia for the United States, to protest the Russian invasion of Ukraine, making him an international cultural hero. This is his Boston debut, featuring an all-Russian program.

Mikhail Voskresensky, piano, has been intensively performing in concerts around the world for more than 60 years. The top prize winner of Schumann International Piano Competition, Rio de Janeiro, Enescu in Bucharest, and the first Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, Voskresensky has captivated audiences with his electrifying interpretations of the great piano literature of all styles.
