Acclaimed American pianist William Wolfram is a regular guest with the world’s greatest orchestras, an important recording artist, and a champion of new music. He was bronze medalist in the Tchaikovsky Competition and silver medalist in the Naumburg and Kapell competitions. His program features two of the greatest piano works of the Romantic era: Schumann’s Fantasie in C Major and Liszt’s Sonata in B Minor.

About the Artist
William Wolfram, piano, was a silver medalist at both the William Kapell and the Naumburg International Piano competitions and a bronze medalist at the prestigious Tchaikovsky Piano Competition in Moscow.He has appeared with many of the greatest orchestras of the world and has developed a special reputation as the rare concerto soloist who is also equally versatile and adept as a recitalist, accompanist, and chamber musician. He is highly sought after for his mastery of Liszt and Beethoven, and as a champion of twentieth- and twenty-first-century American composers.His concerto debut with the Pittsburgh Symphony under the baton of Leonard Slatkin was the first in a long succession of appearances with numerous American conductors and orchestras. He has appeared with the San Francisco, Saint Louis, Indianapolis, Seattle, and New Jersey symphonies, the Buffalo Philharmonic, the National Symphony Orchestra, Baltimore and Colorado symphonies, the Rochester Philharmonic, the Nashville Symphony, the Oregon Symphony, the Utah Symphony, the San Diego Symphony, and many others.
